Healing with natural oils, cold sore remedy
I came across a great cold sore and herpes remedy the other day that makes use of pure natural essential oils. What I liked about it is that it is made from purely organic ingredients that have been grown without the use of pesticides or any kind of nasty drugs or chemicals (who would want to have those on their skin!)
What exactly are cold sores?
Also known as herpes, or herpes simplex, they are what shows up from time to time when you have the herpes virus and they can appear around your mouth, inside and outside, most commonly on the lips and are extremely contagious. Kissing is definitely not advised since it can be passed on from one person to another very easily through direct contact.

Well this formula of natural essential oils that I came across was made just for cold sores and it just felt right to be able to use something so kind and gentle on such a ravaging condition. It doesn’t contain any alcohol so doesn’t sting either. Applied directly to the cold sore each day at the time it appears or massaged into the feet on a regular basis for prevention, it works by bolstering the immune system which fights the virus and in this way helps and supports the whole healing process. Creams that contain cortisone, by contrast can actually act to suppress the local immune system and don’t penetrate deeply enough to get to the where the actual virus is, beneath the cell membranes.
Is it effective?
I think what makes it most effective is that it doesn’t just treat what appears on the outside but goes deeper to the root of the problem.
